Particle Sizing Methods

Several methods are commonly used to measure particle size. These methods include laser diffraction (mm, μm, nm), dynamic light scattering (nm), dynamic and static microscopic imaging (μm, size and morphology), sedimentation by gravity or centrifugation (μm, nm), Coulter (resistance) method (μm), electron microscopy (μm, nm), ultrasound (μm), gas permeation method (average size, μm), and sieving method (> 38μm). The most commonly used techniques are laser diffraction, dynamic light scattering, and dynamic imaging methods.
